Do not put personal information online – like your address, email address, telephone or mobile number
Keep your privacy settings as high as possible
Never give out your passwords
Think carefully before putting photo’s or videos of yourself online
Think carefully about what you say before you write something online
Think about and respect other people’s views
Not everyone online is who they say they are
Do not go to see people you have met online
Tell your parent or carer about people who want to meet you
If you see something online that makes you feel unsafe or worried leave the website and tell someone you trust straight away
